Architectural and Décor Elements

Avalanche Tree: I was hiking through the mountains and I encountered a debris field caused by a giant avalanche. This 200 mph wall of show ripped through an entire aspen grove, flattening hundreds of trees. One of the trees was partially broken in the most visually stunning way. When I saw it, I was so taken by how the wood fibers were stretched apart by incredible forces. It was so beautiful that an avalanche ripping apart an aspen tree was the only way to create these delicate and complex forms.

The door seals perfectly in the jam resulting in high noise canceling. Designed for a client in Sandy, Utah.

Hardwood Oak and Steel Motorcycle Stands These pieces were weathered to tell a story of decades of use in a mechanics workshop. I beat the oak hardwood with castings, tools and rocks to create a wide variation of marks on the surface. The entire piece was painted with washes of acrylic paint and oil to create an authentic, rustic and aged appearance.
