Stools

All of these stools mark an important milestone in the beginning of my career.

Ash and hardwood Bar Stools: These were my first commissioned job. I constructed these while under the apprenticeship of Master craftsman Chad Parkinson. The texturing on the seat was hand carved with a gouge, one chip at a time.

The Mirror Bar Stool: This is one of the first furniture pieces I designed and built on my own. The stool is identical upside down and right side up. As a result there is no underside, so I designed the exposed fasteners to look like buttons on a suit. The heavy steel and hardwood construction is designed to last centuries. The thin steel profile gives the stool a playful and comfortable bounce.

MoJo Coffee Shop Stools and Tables: This was my first production run and my first big steel fabrication job. The 30 bar stools and 9 tables was an excellent opportunity to build and refine my TIG welding skills. I designed and fabricated jigs and fixturing to ensure that the entire production run was identical. These were delivered Mo Jo coffee in Chicago Illinois.
